Help Loud Static/Interference

Was wondering if anyone ran into loud static when on a call that disappears after a reboot? This is my second Droid after taking the first one back for the headphone jack being loose and twice now I've had this very loud static, I can hear people on the other side talking but they hear nothing from me even yelling as loud as I can. A reboot of the phone fixes it. Happened one time right when I picked up a call and then about 5 seconds into another one. Not sure if I want to roll the dice on a third Droid or wait for the software update....

Yup, I have the same issue here to.

Sometime I also hear this weird high pitch sound.

Almost sounds hardware related in which case the 12/11 firmware upgrade won't help. I have not experienced the static sound 'in call' but I do have the static sound that comes when playing music loudly through the headphone jack.

My Incredible does this too. Very irritating.

I have not had this issue... sounds crappy..... three times is the charm they say..... LOL.

I wonder if this is not more of a software issue, since a reboot fixes it (in the OP's case, at least), like maybe an app. Maybe try using a task killer to see if that changes anything?

I have the same issue. I get a loud static noise when using my headphones. Don't know whether it is hardware or firmware. Tried listening to radion station (both FM and internet) and get the loud static in background.

I get this alot on my Galaxy Mini & Galaxy Gio (yeah, both phones).
This is 2011. You posted back in 2009. Status quo?
