[Fixed]Sick & tired of 3 :(

Please, please, i need your help peeps!

Bought a HTC Hero Sim Free and it's a great piece of kit i love it, however, i'm on the dreaded 3 network. Internet wise, here's what works:

Googlemail
Twitter
Facebook App
Market
Can send/receive mms msgs
MSN apps like Meebo & ebuddy

I can't get online (as in websites/wapsites) with it at all - even on wifi - i've connected it to my wireless router it says connected, but web pages won't run. Comes up with 'error'.

Rang 3 and they said they can't send me settings because the phone is not from them (ha!) so he gave me step by step instructions to put settings in manually, but it has not made any difference.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Mx

Hi bud

I'm also using a none 3 hero on the 3 network. Got mine working well now but had a few probs to start with.

I'm asuming u went for the 5 quid extra 1 gig data bundle....

Are your apk settings right?

There are 2 sets ..top one in the list is your net settings. Bellow that is your mms settings.

Set top one to ......apk name to 3 services .... and try changing access point to 3internet instead of using three.co.uk like you probably got told to.

Bottom apk settings (mms) leave alone seem add messages already work..

Let. Me know it your still havin probs ok

Yeah i get a 'H' or '3G' next to signal strength constantly.

I've just got rid of the proxy and port so they're 'not set' and just tried to get on google and it says 'web page not available'.

The only reason why i'm wanting wap/internet is to check on how many texts etc i have, coz last month i went over by a lot!

I don't get it, how can my emails come through, how can i update my facebook status, but yet i can't get online?

Grrrrrr it's doing my head in!
