Standard Disclosure: I'm not responsible in any way for the way this performs or functions on your device. If you brick your phone using or flashing this ROM, I will not be held responsible. Also, this is a beta ROM because I haven't been able to test it on more than just my device.

Make sure you do a Nandroid Backup and Wipe data and Dalvik-cache before flashing.

This ROM is based off of drellisdee's Lite ROM. 100% credit goes towards my fellow HTC Incredible user for not only this ROM, but also the first custom recovery and foolproof root method for the LG Ally. Special thanks to him and everyone else that has been a part of the Ally development.

All that I did was remove a lot more applications. It's designed as minimalist as possible so you can just add on your own preferred apps. The list of removed items are listed below. I mostly removed any LG apps as well as the Verizon Wireless startup sound. (Silent Boot!) Also, I removed Calculator because it's one of the few stock apps that can be removed and I usually prefer to just download a scientific calculator from Market.

This also shows exactly how LG designed their software. They changed the design inside some Android system apps (like Contacts, Dialer, etc.) and then threw in applications (like Socialite, LG Home, Home Selector, etc.) In other words, there is no LG UI, we have a stock Android phone. This is unlike Motoblur and HTC Sense which ties certain elements down to the OS.

Also, I'm considering removing the 3D Gallery app, if you guys would like to be able to just load your own from market. Just let me know what you think.

Went ahead and flashed this to my phone.

Must say was a much easier process than i thought and faster than i thought.

First thing i did notice was the amount of internal memory i had free!. 121.82/152.37mb
Not sure what the amount was with the LG rom but seems like more.

Also noticed around 50ish mb free for RAM with default laucnher. (not sure if that more than the original rom either.)

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I have half way themed it using metamorph and an old smoked glass framework-res,

not too bad but the clock color is still black and no metamorph color change I have found will work so it is stuck black for the time being,

but love the dark notification bar and dark notification slide down background screen

You just need to download Metamorph from Market. The ROM is stock so you should be able to customize it fully. Let me know if you're having any problems. Also, Froyo is currently being worked on so keep your fingers crossed!

Well I downloaded metmorph and i downloaded some theme files in which i read carefully, but i really cant get metapmorph to use the .xml correctly or the .thm

Yeah had the same issue here, so i gave up, oh well a theme won't make my phone better but froyo would =D

after you find a metamorph theme you want to use the thm to xml changer to update it to make it work for the new xml format, with a google search you should be able to find the changer/updater. then apply the themes you want.

it took me almost a day to get it to work right but I got it to work just make sure you have a nandroid b4 you attempt it all, I didn't at the time and had to go back to stock and re root all over again.

I've been rooted and considering flashing a rom using rom manager. The link doesn't appear to work to the rom. It downloads the file but its only 4kb.
