Am I the only one that doesn't use Facebook?

Just wondering. I have a profile but I hardly EVER log into it. I mean, I log into probably once every 3 or 4 months at the most. Now twitter, i'm on it 24/7 (automated) for business purposes but I never use it to socialize either. I prefer good old fashioned forums, like this one here lol...

All my friends and colleagues are on Facebook and Twitter. Actually, when we go to our professional conferences, we wear our shirts with our Twitter names on the back.

I use Facebook for keeping in touch, the chat has replaced any IM clients I've used and I prefer it to texting in a lot of situations. But Twitter I steer clear of, I still fail to see any real value it brings.

I've never even visited the facebook site, except maybe as a result of clicking on search results on Google. Same goes for twitter. The subject never even comes up in my live conversations, with the exception of the occasional mocking of the site(s). I don't want it, and don't get it... and hope I never do.

I got into Facebook a lot when I got my original Droid and had it sync to my contact list. I had a Facebook profile for a couple years before that but only logged on every few months. Facebook is so much more than just talking to friends, although I use it for that a lot. I also use it to keep up with my favorite TV shows, artists, etc. I have found that most of my friends and family use Facebook now, most of them not as much as me though.

Twitter on the other hand I can not stand and I hate that I can't even watch sport center without having to hear about twitter.

It's not just you. I have a profile, too, but I hardly ever log in. Boring crap--newsfeed is always just games spam or people prattling on about inconsequential rubbish nobody but they could possibly care about.

I get on facebook about two times a day at night, but that's about it. It just helps keep in touch with relatives and old friends. Twitter on the other hand, I despise. I HATE it. Like someone said above, I hate that you can't watch any sort of news program and sports without twitter being mentioned.

I havn't and wont bother with it either. Dont see the point in it really everyone i need to speak to i have there number anyway. I prefer forums like this still at least your with like minded individuals. I did have myspace back in the day all anybody cares about is leaving comments quite boring i like proper conversation/discusion.

I use it to keep in touch with extended friends and family. I'm not 'friends' with anyone on there that I haven't known in real life.

I don't get any of the spam or inconsequential rubbish that others have mentioned.

I also use Twitter but more for keeping up on current events rather than communicating with friends.

Yes, both Facebook and Twitter have their values. Not everyone has time to visit forums and not every forum has a mobile phone version. But in this day and age, every smart phone can run Facebook app and Twitter app. That is huge.

Twitter is the fastest way to disseminate information to the mass, and to get information back. We use it a lot to pass out information like upcoming webcasts or the most recent blogs.

Many Twitter app (like SocialScope Lite that I am using) allow you to group the people you are following. Therefore, you can pick and choose to hear from those who have information that you are interested, and ignore those you don't care to hear from.

Same here, I only have people on my friends list that I know in real life. And alot of them play the games on there, but when you get spam from a game you only have to hit ignore game once and you never get spam from that game again, so that takes care of the spam.

Not the only one. I last logged in to facebook about 6 months ago and that was just to delete some people who kept posting junk so I would stop getting those notification emails lol

I don't use twitter or any other social networking site either. Everyone I would talk to is already on msn anyways.

I fail to see the relevanve of twitter if your using facebook, and I will never understand its attractiveness at all.facebook on the other hand I have been using since it was launched, and I only have people added on there I know. quite an essential tool for keeping up with people you aren't in contact with.

I have 4 different Facebook accounts. One with my real name, that I NEVER use. It's there as a place holder.

I have an account for people from the gym that I play basketball with, and for that purpose ONLY. I have one that has NO data, but I use it to play xanga poker from time to time, and other facebook apps - no concern about privacy of data since that profile has no data, so the facebook apps can steal all the data the want.

Finally I have a private facebook profile that is used to interact with friends and family, where I do not use my real name. I use "AndroidFB" or something similar, just to goof around, share pix, etc. That way no strangers can find them and connect them to the real me. Friends and family know that it's me though.

May be a bit over the top in terms of guarding my privacy, but I don't trust Facebook so that's why I have 4 accounts.

I have a Facebook and Twitter account. Hardly used the Twitter account until a few weeks ago. Facebook is great to keep up with my classmates mostly. I don't become "friends" with people I don't know.

I use them once every 2-4 months tho....I 'm just not into the whole networking, online chat thing anymore. Facebook did help me get in touch with old friends and family members I havent seen in years..

As long as Facebook doesnt become MySpace Reloaded, I like it. Thats what I didnt like about MySpace, it became Black Planet Reloaded.

I have a facebook profile, but only ever look at my daughters (sometimes it's a quicker way of finding out what she's up to, without waiting for her to ring me!)
I ignore all friends requests, and I've never done Twitter ..nor do I want to.

My friends have my email and phone number, so they can contact me.
I really don't want to know whose visited the dentist, has constipation or a leaky roof ...

I have a former co worker that uses Facebook like its Twitter. And yes at times they can post TMI...lol

I dont get the fascination about wanting ppl to know your almost every move.
