Well I am trying to figure out why my battery sucks like so many others. I was trying to do the whole battery drain...recharge...turn off and charge some more. When I turned the phone back on i had an error message stating LauncherPro stopped functioning, but I could clearly see it had launched. I had the box that gave a force close and one that said continue. Why do you think I had that issue, which has happened 2 more restarts. Could that be draining my battery? Should i uninstall LP and reinstall it? Im running LP+ btw.

Pressing the home button should restart LP. I'd go to the market, press the "options" button and select "downloads" and see if you have an update for LP. When that's done, press the "home" key again to restart it or reboot the phone.

I have at least 5 software updates every day so when I get off work, I take my phone off vibrate, then install updates. LP has had several updates a week lately.

My battery life is awesome now. I went to the main Settings > Battery Manager > Battery Profile > Smart Mode. After setting it to Smart Mode, I opened every app and adjusted its settings/preferences. I set everything to manual refresh/update. The only apps set to hourly updates are e-mail, weather, and sports ticker.

The other thing I would do is uninstall LauncherPro. Then erase every widget you have on the screen. Reinstall LauncherPro on blank screens so that the phone runs smoother. You can also change your brightness setting to 30 to 50%. If you're experiencing signal issues, hit *228 then prompt 2.
