what will come after Samsung epic?

No one knows for sure but expect to see a slew of Windows Phone 7 phones comes out this fall and well into the holidays. Probably an HTC and/or Samsung Windows based phone, I could care less about WP7 since I think it's the ugliest thing ever made but if you're into it that will definitely be all over the major 4 carriers later this year.

hi all, I was just wondering if anyone knew what big phone sprint will release after the Epic ? since I know im going to be sticking to sprint, just wanted to see what's going to come. even the smallest info will be greatly appreciated

Samsung is coming out with what looks like a mid-tier Android Galaxy U. No news if Sprint is getting one but I can't imagine Samsung not covering all the bases like the Galaxy S.

As someone said, Windows Phone 7 is coming out. Samsung will have one. I read HTC will have one (though I heard theirs will be based upon the EVO which makes me wonder about the video in the link). LG will have one. There's little doubt Sprint will go WP7; however, my feel is that AT&T is going to muscle manufacturers for the best phones because they've said they want to be the premier WP7 carrier.

This is an Android site so I won't talk much about WP7 other than to say it looks like Microsoft came out with a fresh interface that looks interesting rather than Android's "me too" Apple-like UI. However, WP7 is so late to the game it's way behind the power curve so it's lacking many things that make Android compelling.

I just want Sprint to come out with some decent mid-tier Android phones. I'm not paying $250 for a phone. No argument with those who will and even would pay $300 or more. I don't even need all the features in the standard $200 phones like HD video, huge megapixel cameras, gaming platforms, and movie/TV streaming. Unfortunately, phones like the Moment go too far in the other direction.

if ur willing to pay 200 for a phone what's the big deal with an extra 50 bux ?

$50. :D

I could make the same argument if they charged $300. It's only $100.

Hey, it depends upon how much money you have and how much you care about getting a Galaxy S phone on Sprint which you can get as cheap as 1 cent on T-Mobile or $200 anywhere else.

The Epic is the most expensive Android phone on the market. There's no reason for this other than Sprint can't stock an EVO and is jacking up the price on the Epic to gouge customers. You don't mind getting gouged? Why not buy 2? :D

The extra $50 totally make sense and isn't because of the Evo being out of stock (btw I'm not even getting this phone so I'm not being a "fanboy"). The phone has many hardware additions that the other versions (which officially go for $200) don't have all the while being serviced on cheaper plans. Something's gotta go up, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Plus lets be honest your argument is not very good, $100 is a much bigger difference than $50. If people have to save up for a $200 phone but can't squeeze out an extra $50 then they shouldn't even be looking at these high end phones in the first place, it's funny how many people are living beyond their means nowadays. The only people the extra $50 should truly effect are people who are getting more than 1 because then the cost starts really adding up.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, I think aside from the WP7 stuff there won't be anything worth writing home about until early 2011.

I would be happy with a upper mid-range phone with a slide out keyboard and about a 3.5" - 3.7" screen. I will probably end up with the Epic and be very happy, but smaller can be better. I use my phone for talking, some light texting, and web browsing. Any other feature is just something I'll play with for the first couple of days.

they seem more concerned with tablets and printers than they do a new phone. No leaks. No rumors. No nothing. It's all tablet talk right now. Dumb if you ask me. Having a 1st class phone will sell tablets. No one is going to buy a tablet with an orphaned mobile OS. Everyone needs a phone. A fraction of those people will buy a tablet. If a person is happy with their Android or iphone they most likely would buy the respective OS's tablet. Way to go hPalm.
don't forget webos, i'm sure there will be some coming soon.
