So I've been loading all my roms with my dell at work. I don't work there anymore and I now have to do it with my macbook. I thought since everything was already set up on my phone all i would have to do was to put the rom on my phone.. However when I did that it wasn't on my list when i tried to load it from my phone. Do i have to set up my phone all over again now with mac?

I'm not quite sure I am understanding what you are asking, but, if your phone is already rooted and you have recovery, there is nothing special that you need to do with the Mac. When you connect the phone to the Mac using USB and choose to mount the SD card to your computer, it will open a new removable drive called "NO NAME" in your devices in the Finder, and you can copy files there any time you like. Eject the device before you disconnect the cable, just as you would with Windows. With Mac, there is no special USB driver or anything you need to install - it just connects.

Put the ROM .zip file in the top directory of the NO NAME disk (which is, of course, your SD Card.) It will show up in Amon's Recovery when you choose to flash a ROM.

My Macbook Pro automatically unzips the .zip files when I download a new ROM. It puts an unzipped folder in my download folder and the original .zip file goes straight to the trash. The file you need to put on your sd card is the .zip file in your trash can.

You should definitely turn this off. In safari, Preferences, General page, turn off the option to open "Safe" files after downloading. Don't trust Safari to decide what is safe.
