Help How do I personalize the General Apps Screen?

I'm talking about a gray screen with a tab that pulls up if I touch or drag that tab across the screen. I there have apps such as Alarm Clock, Car Home, Gmail, Market, personally installed apps, etc., etc., etc.

I'd like to arrange the icons in the order I use them the most. In fact there's a few factory-installed apps I don't want, but I can't seem to be able to delete them.

Any light on this, guys?

Be very careful doing this:

Go to settings>applications>manage applications

You will see the apps YOU installed.

Press the "menu" button on the button bar>filter>all

You now have a list of ALL the apps on your Droid.

Touch any app's listing and you will get a screen with options available for that app. I don't think you can remove system apps without rooting the phone. I'm not aware of anyone who has figured out how to root the Droid yet.

To move an app from the pull-up list to a home screen, you must first have a space for it on the home screen you are presently viewing. Pull up the list and long-press the app. and you can drop it anywhere on the screen.

GDE new home is an app that I bought that has some nice features for grouping and organizing all my apps on an improved home screen set.

ROOTing the phone is like giving "Super user" access. However ROOT is not available for the Droid Yet

Some Home apps have the ability to hide apps in the drawer as well.
I run PandaHome: Long Press>Home Assistant>Icon Hide
This will hide any apps that you don't use or don't want to see. For example,
I don't want to see Alarm Clock and Visual VM b/c I don't use them but can't uninstall. I also hide my theme and icon packs so they don't clutter the drawer.
