I recently purchased a Samsung Vibrant( GalaxyS) and was curious if I should be concerned of the warning flags that show up prior to downloading app's through the market. i.e. twitter.
The screen says: This application has the access to the following:
-Your location
-Network Communication
-Your personal information
-Your accounts
-System Tools

This makes me a little unsure of continuing with the download. Is there a way I can upload the apps from a laptop and securing the phone from access to this info.

If this has been discussed can someone post a link? Thank you in advanced.

Hi - Welcome to the Android Forums - This can be a little disconcerning and there was a thread for this a while back but I just don't recall where. Sorry -Cheers ;)

no.. there's no cause for concern at all. It is more for informational use than warning.

Welcome! :) Check out my apps!

Happy to be here:).
Sometimes the little things are under appreciated and taken for granted. its easy to criticize, but its difficult to offer a solution.

hehe, you've obviously been surfing through some of the rougher spots of the forums! ;)

I warmly welcome you. Feel free to PM me if you need anything or guidance to where you can get some help for anything.
