How's call quality for you all?

I'm not too impressed with the call quality on the Vibrant. Actually, it's my worst phone to date in terms of call quality. It honestly seems the more advanced these phones are getting, the more they neglect what their sole purpose is, which is calling and call quality. I hear faint, but very annoying static with long distance calls, especially noticeable when I have the headset in. People also tell me I sound much deeper and that the call quality is generally not as good as my previous cell phones. The best phone I've ever had for call quality was a Motorola RIZR. Every phone after that just seemed to get worse and worse with it. You would think that something like this should be improving over the years. Not the case with me. The phone is excellent in every other aspect besides call quality.

Call quality on mine by and large is very good. Like any cell phone I've ever had I get that super annoying echo (where I can hear my own voice) once in a long while. The volume I find is more than adequate. I usually have mine turned somewhere in the middle unless there's a lot of background noise.

My best phone ever for call quality though goes to my last Motorola Cliq XT. I couldn't tell the difference between that one and a landline most of the time.

The call quality on my vibrant is very good. As a noob to the forums, I must add that I just don't see this LAG that alot of users are reporting either. I have NO problems with GPS whatsoever, no LAG AT ALL, everything snaps immediately to screen, and my battery life is much better than my previous HTC HD2 phone.
My overall impression of the vibrant is one that I'd certainly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch smartphone. People I call now actually say I sound clearer than I did on my last phone.

the call quiality on my handset is great... better than any phone I have had (on both ends of the line). The volume is more than loud enough in loud areas for me to hear whoever is talking. and the earbuds are great to me.... sure they arnt a $100 set but they are by far better than any other pair I have got with a phone. 100000 times better than the pair I got with my iPhone.

i couldn't adjust the earpiece volume high enough, and someone here suggested go to settings, call settings, and turn "hac mode" to on. now, i've had to turn my volume down a bit. hope this helps. as far as call quality, my mom taught me that if i didn't have anything nice to say...first i thought it was my gel skin, then i thought i was covering the mouthpiece, now i gave up and just appreciate the many other GREAT features.

Quality for me has been good. Only thing I had to do, really, was get used to where the earpiece speaker is (First call I had it too low )

Other than that, this phone has better quality than my last two (Behold II, Razr V3), as well as my brother and my co-worker's Blackberries (Couldn't tell you the models, sorry)

The volume, though, COULD be higher.

I have been quite pleased with the call quality of my Vibrant. At first, I was surprised how quiet the call volume was even when I had it turned up to the maximum. It has not been an issue for me at all. Like mavictb mentioned on a previous post, I'm really digging the headset that came with the phone.

I have yet to drop a call, even when death-gripping with my left hand. :) I'm on the Bell Mobility network.

Sorry didn't mean to send this twice.

anyone had any complaints from the other end? 3 calls so far i have had to hang up and redial in order for the other person to hear/understand me. is this more of a reception issue? if it is, it never occured with my last 2 phones (a G1 and a RiZR ) in the location ( my house ) that it is happening in. just wondering...

Oh man, just turned on HAC mode (supposed to be hearing aid mode?) to increase the volume in the earpiece, what a disaster. All I heard from the other end was jumbled mess and distortion, couldn't make out anything. Person on the other end said the same about me. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I got a crap phone for call quality since it's been so bad? Should I take this back?

I had to return my first vibrant cause I sounded all garbled on the other end and then the new one had great call quality while I was not moving but when I got on thE highway it was terrible. Didn't have any problems on my end but nobody could understand me. I returned it again and am not sure if I'll try my luck a third time or just get an IPhone4. I'd get the samsung if I could get good voice quality but it's a phone. That's still it's main purpose.

I would have to wonder if those were network issues. I've never had a complaint from anyone nor have I had any bad reception on my end.
