So heres how to change the color of that distracting white notification bar in Kaos froyo V30. Not sure if this is common knowlege but I'll post it anyway. settings> cyanogenMod settings> user interface> status bar (to change color of the clock and add battery % inside battery indicator) >back> Notifications colors> check Custom notification bar> bar color> REBOOT & there ya go :D I know for sure it works in Kaosfroyo v30 & i'm pretty sure it works in all the kaos froyo versions

Funny, I strongly prefer the white, and hate the black on the Sense based ROMs.

Not even this kind of black?

I think it's a great feature to have in a ROM, adding to the whole idea of rooting being about more configuration, personal tweaking, etc.

Having said that, I prefer to have the notification bar vanish, using that choice in LP. ;) Transparent clock and retro date on the home screen, "notifications" in the menu when needed, etc, make for a cleaner home screen.

It appears that menu path to changing the color was not in earlier versions of Kaos (or Tazz?). That was a great move by the dev to come up with that.

Ask and ye shall receive

Sadly the themer has gotten run off by impatient idiotic users, and he has now joined the D1 side. Though V.05 is pretty much primed and polished, and just plain rocks :D (I really love the animated circle battery the most)
I like the battery widget that you have on your home screen, which one is it? Also how did you hide the little battery in the notification bar?

I got the donate version which lets you d/l and apply different skins. When I was looking through the different battery widgets on the market (There are ALOT of them, no relation to the Alot monster), I wanted something simplistic and allowed for custom skins. This was the best I could find that was almost free, and to me it's worth it. I'd say there are about 20-30 skins available (maybe more since I last checked) and I haven't gotten into making my own yet.

Edit- also the circle you see in my task bar is the battery lol

How did you get dark Launcher Pro Icons and the tray?

Also, how was your run on Kaos?

Those are not LP icons; they're "cc mono icons," extracted from a set. They are posted in many icon collection sites..

cc icons, free icons in Wireframe Mono

If you google "cc mono icon set" you'll find hundreds of them, black and white versions and in three sizes: 16, 32 and 48.

As it happens, I've got Kaos v30 back on because I wanted to fool around with some of the 2.2 apps I've been reading about at XDA.

I like it very much, my only gripe is battery life, which is quite nice on xtrROM 3.0.3.. I'll have to dink around with settings, etc.

I posted my Kaos home screen in that "let's see your ui layout" thread a bit ago.
