I need help!!!!!

ok im new to anything smartphone and i recently upgraded to a samsung captivate. And im havin trouble mounting my captivate to my laptop i dont have a card in my phone is that the reason? i can get my phone to the do you wish to mount screen if that makes sense but i can go to the my computer location and mt phones not there....thanks in advance for help

Need to make sure you got these drivers installed

Then go into settings and make sure you have the phone set to ask what mode you want to put it in. You then will need to pull down the notifications area and then select usb and mount the phone.

First off explore your phone and learn it as best as you can. Go into settings then applications then usb and select ask on connections. Then when you connect the device to the comp you choose mass storage then pull the notifications bar down and select the usb notification then mount it.

You don't need to install those drivers just for USB Mass Storage mode.

I've used my Captivate on many computers, XP and Win7, and not once installed those or any other drivers on them. It just worked.
