FRG22D OTA Update

Does anyone if you have to have the 22D build before you can download flash? I just looked in the market and it seems that flash isn't in the market yet but I am wondering if it is because I got 10B. Rumor has it that VZW will roll out 22D starting today and that flash will be in the market but it doesn't state you need 22D to get flash.

Nope, if you have 2.2 you can download the .apk here.

FRG22D only enables it for d/l in the market. Although you may want to uninstall it after you get the update and then redownload it from the market to ensure that you get any updates.

Is there a disadvantage of downloading the .apk file rather than waiting on getting it from the market? Or any potential cons? I need flash soon for my fantasy football draft and I am not sure when I will get the update.

I installed this apk and it is Adobe Flash 10.1 (not the beta). Its the same version that will be on the market once we get FRG22D. The advantage from getting it from the market is that, if it is updated, you would get the notification to update. I plan on uninstalling it once my Droid is updated and then downloading it from the market. But other than that, there should be no difference in the functionality.
