Help Mutliple Issues: Issue #3 Music Player and Headphone Removal

Potentially related to the Music Player exiting when I try to go "Home" or start up other apps...

Anyway, let's say I'm using my headphones to talk to someone on the phone. The call ends and I take my headphones off and unplug them from the phone.

Well, a podcast will begin playing in the Music Player!!! It may not even be the last one I was listening to.

Is there ever an update to this player? It's not very good and seems uncontrollable at times. Any substitutes that can be set as default players?

I want to like this phone but there are SO MANY annoying glitches and non-obvious (to me, anyway) solutions that I'm definitely second-guessing my purchase.

Your help on any of my issues is appreciated.

I'm sure I'll have many more in the future.

You need to "Clear Playlist" before exiting the music app to avoid this problem. To do this, go to Playlist view, then tap the hardware menu button and then "Clear Playlist" from the menu that pops up.

OK, so I opened the Music Player and went to the Playlist page.

There was nothing in the playlist, but a podcast started playing (the same one as usual)

The funny thing is, there was no triangle icon in the top left corner to signify playback, and I'm free to press the home key and start up other apps.

This thing is so glitchy sometimes I feel like throwing it against the wall. I mean, I only paid a few hundred dollars for it, I should expect it to at least perform basic functions, right?

Aaaaarrrggh!

OK, so I just figured something out. If you open a song/podcast from Astro, then you can't hit the home key and open other apps. But if you open up the Music Player and select a song, you're free to roam around your phone and email/text/whatever.

Neat-o. Ploblem #2 solved....

Unfortunately, I'm sure the headphone issue will persist. I'll check when I get home.

You need to tap the Playlist button which looks like the top one in this screenshot while music is playing. Then you will see the playlist I am talking about.

Beautiful - thanks!

That's why I registered. Hopefully I can help the way you people helped me.

2 down...1 to go. Now if I could just get that overnight charging issue solved...

I think I get what you mean but can't see the screenshot ..and when i press the Menu button at the bottom of the screen when in Song List or Playlist, I do not get the option to Clear Playlist.

Thanks for your help.
