I have the Elite version and like it a lot. The live wallpaper is not very "live". The lowest update increment available is 3 *HOURS*. It should be more like every 10 minutes to be useful. A 3 hour increment makes this feature useless.

I have email WeatherBug support to request the feature and was underwhelmed by their response. Hopefully they will offer a 10 minute refresh in the future.

I do have one question. If you're looking at the pictures from the cameras in the area and you select the heart to save camera view, what does it do??? I thought it would set up like a favorites of only the camera views you want, but every time I go back to the camera pages it still shows all the ones including the ones I did not flag with the heart.

Frankly this app along with most of the other weather apps are pieces of junk. One app does a good job of telling you what the weather is right now but horrible at forecasting weather for tomorrow. Another weather app does great at forecasting weather but terrible at what the weather is right now.

This app, like most I found on weather, is terrible.

Does anyone know of a GOOD app that is fairly accurate all around? I don't need this "good at one thing but not anything else" app BS.

If you have the setting on to show and update your location on the map (you can see the little yellow "person" icon on the map), does anyone know HOW OFTEN your location is updated while traveling?? I know that it is not nearly at fast and constant as monitoring your movement on Google Maps with GPS but are there regular intervals that you should see the icon move to show your position?? Is there something that has to be done (should NOT have to be done though!!) MANUALLY to keep your position updated??

I thought the Location settings and using GPS or the Network to find your location would move the icon on the map along with your movement in the car. I find that the updates to the icon location, IF THEY HAPPEN AT ALL, to be inconsistent and random...anyone else??

Another question...my alerts notification sounds (first with Weatherbug and now with Weatherbug Elite) seems to be MUTED. Anyone else having this problem?? I don't think I experienced this prior to the 2.2 OS upgrade on my EVO but not sure. When you go to the notification settings, turn it on and then scroll to choose your alert notification sound, each sound that I choose does NOT make a noise. My other apps and general notification settings for my phone make a noise when you pick the alert sound and the confirm your choice. Not with Weatherbug at the moment....???

Thoughts??

Do you have the WeatherBug Locator companion?

WeatherBug Locator - Android app on AppBrain

Still not uber fast on updates, but better than if you're not using it.

No clue for this one. Personally, I would rather be able to customize the alerts. I don't need to see Heat Warning and "Areal Flood Warning" ... I just want to know severe thunderstorms and tornadoes...

I guess it saves the picture of the webcam to your DCIM/Camera folder of your memory card.

Yep...sorry I wasn't clear...I do have Locator. Even with that installed I thought the location trackomg/update was lagging too much

I too am more concerned about some warnings compared to others. it appears that I DO get my alert sounds playing odd that they were silent as you scroll through the alert choices in Prefs and every one is silent. Any else experience this???

I have this same problem. All other sounds/ringtones/notifications are working fine.

I got the elite version from the Amazon Appstore and I am running cm7 on a original droid.

Wallpaper is great if it works! It worked for me for less than one day after I got the app. My Elite app updated last night then the wall paper stopped working and I constantly get "The Application WeatherBug Elite (process.com.aws,android.elite) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I feel like it was a bait and switch.

I use a Samsung Droid Charge. I have rebooted, taken out battery, deleted data, and checked cache (zero).

I notice the location is no longer showing in the Wallpaper preference, even though it shows up within the main app (Elite) preference.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I am a sailor and love the wallpaper (WHEN IT WORKS!!!!).

Best all

Bob
