Help 3/4 of my screen is black

I use a motorola desktop charger in the evenings and yesterday when i unplugged it most of my screen went out completely. Motorola is sending me a new phone but i just wondered if this has happened to anyone else here. It's really weird cause i can still make calls and stuff i just cant see what im doing.

it happened to my first X when i unplugged the HDMI cable, but i just put it to sleep then woke it back up and it was fine.

Hasn't happened to me personally although I have heard people talk about screen failure on their DX before, unfortunate.
