Why should it make anyone feel worse? The Incredible has been out longer. Why shouldn't it get the update sooner? It's had more time for the developers to brew it up and test it.

Because this is the first phone to have 2.2 for Verizon. So i'm excited for the incredible and this means since verizon has released and approved it for the incredible... droid x will be coming very soon... the official one I mean

Hate to burst your bubble but the 1st phone to get 2.2 was the Droid. The Droid 2 was the first phone with 2.2 pre-installed.

I am pretty sure that the official release of the 2.2 udate is going to be a bit different for the Incredible as opposed to what it will be for the X due to the differences with the UI's.

And it is NOT the first phone from Verizon to have 2.2.

The incredible was released months before the X and Motorola already has two devices running 2.2 on verizon. The droid and the droid 2.

Its the 4th phone to even receive a 2.2 update? So think about all the android phones out there and then realize the other 2 phones that have received the update were Verizon phones

Yeah, but the 2.2 you are running is not the official OTA, that you had to void your warranty for it.

Sorry, but some users are patient enough to wait for the official 2.2 to be legally pushed onto their phones.

Actually, the very first date for the Inc to get Froyo was last nights mention of starting the update today. Absolutely everything before that was a rumor, and each time it was proven wrong. It is no ones fault except your own if you ever believed any of those dates.

In fact: This should be good news. Now that the Inc, D1 and D2 all have Froyo: That leaves only the DX out of the headline phones. IE: You can bet it's coming soon...perhaps even just as the Inc finishes it's rollout ( Sep. 3 is supposed to be the last day according to the twitter announcement. ) Also, keep in mind: You too may not even hear about it until the very day before like the Incredible. So, don't worry too much if you aren't hearing anything, and have patience.

I'm not butthurt because the Inc is getting it first (officially). The leaked version fixed all my minor issues with my X. I have no complaints and I am sure I will have the official release in good time.

Should I be waiting for Barney Fife to come knock on my door because I have installed a 2.2 that moto or google probably leaked on purpose? By the way..I know who shot Kennedy...it was Froyo!

Actually droid 2 had it on launch (Not a upgrade), I was just going by what the website said.
