I sure hope that this is not the actual device though. I badly want to see this as a HD2 type phone with some hard CALL/END buttons on the bottom.

Kidding of course. I think I would be happy if VZW came out and said no more phones until 2010. This stuff is making me nuts.

I'm holding my breath for this phone...lol...I check the web and this site daily now for news. I'm shocked that besides a couple of photos this phone pretty much doesn't exist... No offense to you, but these guys are crack tarded. They say they had a hands on with the Dragon, yet said it was running Android 1.6. Then it was running 2.0.
The question I think may be becoming is HTC legally bound some way from not talking about the Passion, is it far behind in development, or has HTC stopped work on the Passion to make the Google phone?

none taken. just saw it and passed it along. I know its fishy & old but hey, Im an airline pilot and live my life on rumors. Thats all we have. I hadn't seen this before so thought I would drop it and see if anyone could find any more info on it.

just found this. now this could be good an bad. I know there is a lot of talk about Verizon releasing the Dragon after the 30 day return policy but if this is the case we really may be waiting until January.

Also, that policy started november 15th. Droid and Eris came out on Nov 6th. So......

I could not find any evidence of an extended return policy for the holidays (except heresay and from last year) so I asked an in-store rep and he said no. A few days later (today), I called Verizon and was told they currently do not have an extension but may implement in December.

When you started the purchase procedure on vzw.com it would pop up a side bar mentioning the holiday extension. I called my local store and they confirmed it. But clearly, if your manager doesn't know about it then most customers don't either. Therefore, potentially moot issue with regard to setting passion release date.

Current purchases will have the WFG return period extended till Jan 13th.
