When you pre order...the company will usually call you the day before to say "hey come pick up your Epic at whatever time or we open up at 10" or some time to let you know to come pick it up.

i called them, and they don't have any in stock yet. argh!!! yeah, they said maybe monday or tuesday, and i'm like "it better be tuesday". also, the BB i pre-ordered from is not looking to open earlier than 10AM.

i'm thinking about calling a different BB and just go there instead if they have one in earlier.

It's nice, living in the Twin Cities area...nobody seems to have heard of this phone yet. I was told 10 days ago when I put my name on the list at the Sprint store for an Epic that I was the first person to inquire about it. LOL!

Yea I just found a Radio Shack that already has them in inventory said they have two unspoken for so I reserved one of them just in case. Im a bit POd at BB however why take deposits if they really don't know for certain that they will have inventory on launch day.

Just got my call from RS. It's in! I can pick it up this coming Tuesday at 8.00 am when they open up. I have one reserved. Think I will go to sleep for the next couple of days, wake up early Tuesday and get it. ha

I did the same thing and thought I was crazy! LOL Glad to see I am not the only person covering my butt for Tuesday!

Just called my local RS to ask about opening time on launch day and got transferred to the Manager. This is the same RS, btw, that I went to for my evo. I was the first to preorder and first to get it . Anyways, long story short, the guy remembers me and decided to just set up my appt today because they got the phones in yesterday! He also put a case on hold for me!

The RS by my house doesn't know if they are getting any because something about they didn't get shipping labels yet so they don't know what's being shipped...I just have to have confidence that Best Buy will come thru for me Tuesday.

Went to my Best Buy last night and they said they still have not arrived to the store but were expecting 20 Epics for launch day. They only have 5 pre orders so the demand for Epic seems no where near the frenzy it was over the Evo in June.

Just got call from BB, unfortunately they don't open until 10. I'll be there by 955.

Sprint store got one for me too and they open at 8, but I rather wait two hours now then forever for the rebate. I'll call them after I make sure the one from BB is not a lemon.

I might not be able to sleep tonight...

sorry dude, you might want to call them, and might even consider calling another BB to see if they have extra for tomorrow. i was going to do that if i didn't get a call today from the BB i had the pre-order with.

What the heck is this appointment stuff all about? If I ordered a phone in advance there's no way in hell I'd be waiting until 4:00pm to pick up the damn thing. I'd be on pins and needles worrying some BB drone would mistakenly sell my Epic to some random walk in. I'd be there when they open.

What is the appointment for anyway, to sell you stuff, to 'teach' you how to use it? Setting up service alone couldn't take but a couple of minutes itself.
