Based on advice I received in this thread: http://androidforums.com/droid-all-things-root/161354-blurry-camera-d1-w-lithium-bb-0-4-a.html
it looks like I have to take my phone to Verizon for repair. I had to send my first droid in because the speaker phone wasn't working so they sent me a new one. Now I'm more worried than when I rooted because if they know I voided the warranty I don't exactly have $600 for a new phone. Cliff notes, my camera takes blurry pictures and it is apparently a known problem. I'm rooted and that's why I have some questions.
1. Is there one video that is better than another with regards to unrooting?
2. Once I'm unrooted will programs like rom manager, set cpu, titanium backup and any programs that require root be automatically deleted or do I have to manually delete them?
3. Will there be any hints that I'm rooted by looking at my sd card or will all traces of being rooted be erased? Should I just remove the SD card before going into Verizon?
Now that 2.2 is available I have some questions related to that
4. Has 2.2 been rooted? I'm worried that even if I go in there w/ 2.1 that a technician may say, "let's update your phone to 2.2 and see if that solves then I'm stuck w/ 2.2 on my phone and wont' be able to root
5. Any chance they will take my phone and replace it with something else?
6. Will I get my droid back or will they give me another droid or replace it with something else if they don't have any D1 in stock.
Now let's assume everything goes smoothly. How do I get back to where my phone is today? I can just follow the same steps as before to root again, but can I restore the rom and apps using rom manager and titanium backup that I will download from the market?
