Root [APP] universalandroot (1-Click Root)

Help please :(
I downloaded and installed fine. I clicked "root". I THOUGHT it said it worked fine. Then installed Titanium Backup. Says it's not rooted.

Tried to "un-root". Said it's not rooted.
Tried to "root". Said it failed after the steps it goes through.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks! :)

It appears a new version (1.6.2 beta 5) is available: blog.23corner.com

I'm having trouble posting a link to his website so hopefully that will work.

It appears he took my suggestion and the xbin folder is now used for su.

So I just rerooted with this version, but when I do a root explorer I see SU is in both the bin and xbin folders. Does this matter? Can I install a leaked 2.2 when I choose to and still have root with this situation?

Ok I did a quick search and came up with nothing. What app do you use to tether?

I downloaded the wireless tether to try out. Aside from that, pdanet.

I'm not hugely concerned about it.. phone works fine. Just don't like that I can't get it to go away, so if I ever had issues I couldn't return the phone. Might just restore it back to original with the sbf.

Apparently the bin\su is leftover from the previous root. You should be able to use root explorer or a similar program and delete that file.

I doubt it matters tho.
