Help HTC Incredible: How can I tell my text is delivered?

On my old phone (Samsung something) I used to be able to see my text message would have a green arrow when they were sent, and then they got a black check mark when they were delivered (as long as the recipient has Verizon).

Is there a similar system on the Incredible? How can I tell?

If they AREN'T sent, you will get a message, otherwise they sent.

Enable Delivery Reports in the messaging settings. However if your on the stock messenger app, it will only show a envelope for an icon. And you will have to select view delivery report for each message.

If you download Handcent SMS, however, it will show the current status of the message with a blue "i" icon (meaning it was sent) and a green check meaning it was received by the recipient.

Are you talking about the HTC Incredible? How do I get to the 'message settings'? I don't see any envelope icon.

Go to Messages. Then press menu. Then settings. Then the delivery reports options there. Then you will see an envelope icon next to your messages. It will not change according to the status though. It just tells you if that message has a delivery report attached.

I would highly consider installing Handcent SMS from the market if you want similar functionality to your old Samsung though.

Send a message. Long press on the message, and then select "View delivery report".

I'm not 100%, sure since I don't have HTC Sense on my Eris anymore.

I just installed Handcent SMS but the green check marks aren't appearing. How do I turn that on?
