The world will see the second Android phone in late January 2009 and Australians will enjoy its use on their carriers as Kogan today started pre-orders for the Kogan Agora Pro. For $399 Australian Bucks (US$256) you’ll get the unlocked phone for use on any Australian Carrier and a toned down (not even a camera) [...]

I don't see how a front-facing keyboard makes something look like a BlackBerry necessarily... A lot of phones have that form factor. A LOT.

EDIT: I'm not discounting your opinion, though. I'm just saying that the form factor isn't necessarily a defining feature of a BlackBerry - especially now that the Storm has been released. Just wanted to clear that up.

I see your point richy, but I think it gets singled out because it is the most popular phone to consistently integrate that form factor.

As a parallel example, the iPhone isn't the only all-touch screen phone but whenever a new touchscreen phone i released it gets compared to the iPhone. Because it has set the "standard". While the BlackBerry doesn't go THAT far.. it's the same general concept at work I believe.

I doubt you'll find many people saying, "That looks like the Palm Treo Pro" although it looks just as much like a Palm in that sense as a BlackBerry.

Just my opinion!

I wasn't trying to say it "looked exactly like a Blackberry" just a similar style... which Rob is correct in why I used it in my statement... but my question really was do you think that the processor being 100mhz faster will make a significant difference....

I doubt it'll make a difference. The OS is still new and I'm sure that customizations and tweaks are to be had (as with any new OS). It's just a matter of tapping into them. Additionally, Android doesn't really seem at all bogged down and you may only notice the difference when looking at the 2 phones side by side (Much like when you go to a TV store and look at all the plasmas. Sure, you'll see imperfections from one TV to the next, but realistically any one of them will look great when it's the only thing you're looking at).

I wonder if the processor being 100 mhz faster will make a big difference.... Not to impressed with the look though to "blackberry" for my taste....
I used to overclock my tmobile dash from the stock 189mhz (tmobile throttled original specs of 200Mhz) to 240Mhz and it was ALOT faster. I can only imagine what an extra 100mhz will do to android. Also, im gonna wait for reviews on this, if it turns out awesome, consider me sold.

I'm not so sure about that... if your thinking it terms of the CPU's today than yeah 100mhz wouldn't make any difference but if you think it terms of the P3's of old than yeah 100mhz made a big difference.... we'll just have to wait and see... I would like to see a side by side run and see how they match up....
