Samsung Fascinate Launching September 8th

I have a Goverment & State Employees discount that I get. I remember not having to pay a deposit or activation or anything like that whenever i first signed up.

I also get 25% off of the main line on the bill as well as accessories, etc.

So on to my question. When you buy a phone in the store is the price usually always "after $100 main in rebate" or are some phones in store instantly the price advertised kind of like Best Buy?

Also is ordering the phone via VZ online usually better than in the store as far as not having to put up with mail in rebates? I hate them, because they take forever to get, and then sometimes you don't even get them, as what happened to me once with AT&T.

Lastly, whenever i view my upgrade info on the Verizon site, it says im eligible for upgrade at discounted price + 100 credit.
Does this mean that when i upgrade the phone will be at its regular discounted price and then i also get an extra 100 dollars off? So if the 1yr upgrade price is say 299 I would only have to pay 199?

If you order it online, you get the rebate instantly, no waiting for a 3rd party Visa gift card, either at a Verizon store or Best Buy. Also, yes, you get you upgrade discount on the sale price (based on how long of a contract you sign.)

So when i look at my eligibility it says discount rate + 100 dollar credit

So does that mean if the phone says 399 1yr contract -100 dollar instant = rebate = 299 that i also get a credit of 100 dollars applied on top of that = 199? That would be awesome to get that puppy on a 1yr contract for the 2yr contract price!

If the 100 dollar credit means only that u get the instant rebate instantly then its not really a credit at all its just a sales tactic making you think you got something free that you really didn't.

YES! If you buy it at the store, you pay the $399 and they will send you a gift card for a $100. Basically, you would pay out of pocket $299 (sale price - upgrade credit). If you order it online, you'd pay $199 (sale price - instant rebate - upgrade credit). No filling out rebate forms, sending it in, and having to wait 3-6 weeks for you gift card.

Sweet, thanks for the info!

I wonder when this thing will hit the Verizon website.
