Help Supported formats for Music player

My Vonage account sends me a .wav copy of each voice message via email and I used to be able to listen to them on my Dinc. Since the 2.2 update rolled in, I get an error indicating that the format is not supported.

The common question since Froyo is the same here:

Is this just my phone or are others seeing the same issue with .wav files?

I too am having the same problem on my Dinc. Downloaded others but no luck. Yet! Will advise if I get one to work.

So far, neither (cubed) or Double Twist fit the bill.

It looks like the only option is Remote Wave at $2.98.

Here's the issue report to Google. It doesn't look like they are interested in fixing it.

The initial interface confuses some people. Load it and press the "Back" button (unless you want to buy). Then navigate to the location of the file and play it.

Remove Wave is the answer. I agree it sucks to have to pay for the player to work as intended but I spend the $2.98 and it works great. No searching for files to play or any other non-sense.

I caved and bought Remote Wave and I'm glad that I did. I hated not being able to check my Vonage VM's while at work.
