tethering cuts out after a few minutes...

Stock Droid 2.2 tethered to Ubuntu 10.04.

I can tether it and get good speeds and can surf around with no problem. When I launch Transmission (a bittorrent client) tethering shuts down after a few minutes. It doesn't disconnect but just stops transferring data...web pages won't even load. I have tried to limit the speeds of upload and download but nothing seems to work.

I am using the tether option under settings- wi-fi on the Droid.

Is there a limit in the droid for data or something like that?

Maybe try Pdanet in the Android market. It works for me, and has
never once dropped out. I have never tried the stock tether, and
don't think I will, any time soon.

this is happening to me too. it stops working after a while, maybe 10 minutes
