Root Stock 2.1 recovery? Where to get it?

I've been reading these forums all day and I gather that I need the stock 2.1 recovery in order to get OTA 2.2. I currently have stock 2.1 with Unrevoked3 (and clockwork).

I searched and nothing came up in this forum for "stock 2.1 recovery". I don't know what I'm doing. Where can I get this file? Would greatly appreciate help

I should also clarify that I don't care about losing root, has caused me nothing but confusion

You have to have installed unrevoked forever to use this.

Thank you both for your replies. I have so many files downloaded I just keep adding to my confusion One is 3mb and the other like 140mb.. I have read that the 3mb one is no good. At least now I know that one of these 2 will put me back to stock 2.1 recovery. once I do this, it will remove clockwork? My head is spinning, sorry for all the questions.

Ok now I am confused again - so the PB31 file is not going to work, because I don't have unrevoked forever?

Okay, let's start over here. Have you applied anything other than unrevoked? If no, follow the steps under the first video in the link I posted. That wipes your phone and puts it back in the state you got it from vzw in.

Thank you DizkoDan. Correct, I've done nothing other than Unrevoked3. I will follow the first video, I had not done that yet because someone in another thread mentioned it threw an error about the version of the phone being newer or something. My goodness this is gonna give me gray hair

Hi there,

I followed the video (thank you again) and it looks like I'm back to stock. No superuser icon, etc. One last question - before I did this, my software number was 1.22.605.2 - now it's 1.22.605.0. is this OK for me to install the OTA 2.2 as it is now?
