Thanks, I'm definitely going to try that out! It sounds like it works with digital copies from iTunes, but I guess I won't know until I try it...

Sadly, it does not. likely because of the copy protection. I understand the need to protect IP, but it's annoying when I simply want to take a movie I own and put it on the best device I have to view it, but I can't because Apple didn't make that device. Oh well...
