whats your fantasy football lineup

I just had my draft last night and after looking at that fantasy football poll thread, I realzied just how many of you guys are into it also.

I was unfortunate enough to have been the last pick in my draft but we down round-rosie so atleast I got back to back picks. Here's my line up so far. Keep in mind that I am a Dol-Fan so that might explain some of my picks.

QB - Drew Brees, Vince Young

WR - DeSean Jackson, Santana Moss, Terrell Owens, Austin Collie, Davone Bess

RB - Rashard Mendenhall, Ronnie Brown, LeSean McCoy, Thomas Jones, LaDanian Tomlinson(never going to use him)

TE(flex position) - Owen Daniels(not starting him until I see that his knee is completely healed) Instead I have Austin Collie in

Def - Blitzburgh

K - Dan Carpenter

Depending on how the QB play pans out, I have Devin Aromashodu, Arrelious Benn, Mike William(TB), Mike Williams(Seattle), Legadu Naanee, Laurent Robinson, and Lous Murphy all on my watch list.

So what does your draft look like? Hopefully we can help each other out

I don't see why you wouldn't use LT. He's had an amazing pre-season, not to mention he looks like he's regained a lot of his youth.

I love the guy. He's a great player and even better person. I'm Dol-Fan and just can't bring myself to root for any other team in the afc east

EDIT: I drafted him as a handcuff to Shonne Green just incase he gets injured. I don't want anybody being able to pick him up in free agency. The jets have the best o-line in the game so I know he'll get some yards and a couple of touchdowns.

I dropped golden Tate right after the draft also. I like the Mike Williams for Seattle and Tampa. I think both those guys are gonna have pimp games

Mike simms walker almost fell to me in the 8th but right before my pick somebody snakes him from me. He's gonna be a star this year

Hmm. I'll give my honest opinion. Your team is not that great. Brees is awesome. Your WR's are weak. Jackson won't have as good of a year with Kolb at QB. The rest of your WR's are #3's. You have two RB's worth owning; Mendenhall and Brown. McCoy is a scrub and Jones and LT are washed up. Mendenhall has a brutal playoff schedule though and Brown is coming off an injury. Daniels should be solid in the Texans offense as long as his knee holds up. Pittsburgh should be a good D.

Hit the waiver wire! Good Luck.

Not a bad looking team.

Thanks, I actually just dropped Dexter McCluster for Kareem Huggins(backup for Cadillac Williams in Tampa). Raheem Morris is really high on this guy, and considering how injury prone Cadillac is, I would advise anyone who needs a RB, but there aren't any starters on waivers to pick this guy up because my guess is he'll be starting by week 4 for a team that loves to run the ball.

Your right, his WR's are a little week, but I actually think the rest of the team isn't terribel. T.O. is set to go off this year, teams won't be able to double him, with Chad Johnson(I refuse to call him his other name)on the other side and Jermaine Gresham at TE, not to mention Carson Palmer is 100% healthy and they have a beast at RB in Ced Benson. DeSean is sick, Kolb will get him the ball.

You can't not like Brees at QB and Young is a pretty good backup. Your RB's are all solid(minus Thomas Jones, he's done). LT has looked great this pre season and from watching Hard Knocks, Rex Ryan is going to give him his looks. Mendenhall is one of the few RB's that will basically be getting 90% of the carries for his team and don't count out LeSean McCoy, he's another guy that's going to get the majority of the carries.

I also got Owen Daniels, so I'm really liking that pick up, but you may want to drop one of your lesser players and pick up a 2nd TE just in case he's not quite ready at the beginning of the season.

I hate your defense, I hope they lose every game this season and Worthlessberger dies of cancer of the dick(I'm a Seahawks fan, what can I say I'm still bitter!)

As for the Kicker, who really cares, as long as they don't hurt themselves celebrating an extra point, your probably going to be OK.

I drafted last. I play in a ppr league so I see T.O. giving me solid numbers with Palmer throwing to him. Jackson was Kolb's favorite target last year and he showed he can throw the deep ball pretty good. He may not be as good as McNabb just yet but he does show promise. Santana is still the only bonafied #1 with chris cooley as the check down. McNabb has shown he can still throw and still loves to throw.

Thomas Jones isn't my starter and I'm just holding him as a spot that I can drop. LT is just a handcuff for if/when Shonn Greene goes down. Ronnie is a risk but I'm a dol-fan and had to get him on my roster. With B-Marsh there, they can't stack 8 in the box anymore so I see him having decent numbers, not spectacular ones. Lesean McCoy is a great back coming off of a great rookie season. He broke all rookie rushing records for the Iggles. In the Colts offense, everybody gets the ball so its high risk high reward and Collie is definitley just that. I have been watching Kareem Huggins so I'm waiting on Caddilac to get another flat tire so I can scoop him up real fast.

I don't trust Daniels knee just yet but Carlson for Seattle is still out there but the TE position is a flex play option so its not that big of a deal.

Thanks for all the feedback. This is what this threads about, helping eachother with so much money on the line

Drafted #2 out of 10. 15 round snake. 5 points for QB TD. Non-PPR.

Starters
QB- Tom Brady
RB- Chris Johnson
RB- Arian Foster
WR- Miles Austin
WR- Greg Jennings
TE- Jermichael Finley
K- Rob Bironas
DST- Dallas

Bench
RB- Marion Barber
RB- Carnell Williams
WR- Santonio Holmes
WR- Johnny Knox
WR- Dez Bryant
WR- Mohamed Massaquoi

I don't believe in backup QB's, TE's or DST's. You just drop your least valuable player for a bye week fill in.

Who'd they take first pick in that draft? MJD?

  • Drafted 6th. Custom Yahoo League.
  • All TDs (6pts) except K/P return TDs are 10pts. Non PPR and points only non head to head.
  • All yards for rushing and receiving yards are a point every 20yds.
  • One big diff with this league, there's a maximum of 5 pickups per season. So I can't be dropping and picking up players from the wire all the time. I usually save at least two for the last three weeks of the season.
QB- Peyton Manning/Matt Ryan
WR- Sidney Rice (boo!),Hines Ward, Santana Moss, Braylon Edwards, Devin Hester.
RB- Michael Turner, Ryan Mathews, Jerome Harrison, Marion Barber
TE- Visante Shiancoe
K- Rob Bironas
Def- 49ers and Panthers.

I'm really iffy about my receiving core but other than that I'm comfortable.
I'm hoping that a Miles Austin type player will come along and help me like Miles did last year. I was iffy about my receivers last year too but then Desean, Miles, and Sidney Rice helped me big time haha. I'm hoping for the same with the receivers I have this year.

In all honesty, you really can't go wrong with any pick in the 1st round (with the exception to injuries, of course).

lol. That's what we thought until about a few years back, a person new to FFl, drafted Chicago D in the first round. haha. I mean, Chicago D did really good that year but we all started laughing when he put the draft sticker on the board. :p

You have a really nice team.....except for your WR's. My god that is BRUTAL. You need to keep an eye on the waiver wire for any WR talent. I HATE Santana Moss. He and Lee Evans are fantasy poison every year.

Depending on whether or not you can start 2 QB's in your league(flex player), you may want to think about trading Matt Ryan and one of your WR's for a top end WR, try to find someone in need of a QB. Another option is picking up a guy like Mike Williams for the Seahawks, with Housh gone now he has a really good shot at being the #1 guy.
