Help Baffling memory drainage issue.

Hi Guys.

Okay so i just went download crazy, and went down to 6MB from 30MB. So I decided to have a clean out. Having a rooted Desire with A2SD running, I went through my memory heaviest apps, and cleared about 70MB. These included 39MB NFS Shift, and a few other games, and apps.

However.....

My phone is STILL reading only 6MB free memory.

The weird thing is the stuff I've moved is DEFIANTLY now on the card, as I cant run NFS Shift while using the card as a drive.

Any idea what could be causing this issue? I even rebooted the phone to definatly clear the caches, and other memory resident crap.

Rebooted twice now, and still no different. I've even uninstalled some of these apps that I installed, but it still seems stuck on 6MB.

when its refering to memory is this not refering to ram?
could this not be running tasks heavily?

usually i refer to stuff as storage when it comes to installations and files

Using Quick System Info Pro, it says that my INTERNAL storage is now 6.30MB. MEMORY is 109MB free.

Next guess? *sigh*

That game nfs shift, i found it consumed 39mb internal ram on its own when i installed it.
When i uninstalled it the memory never got released, only cure i found was to reinstall my rom.
I now only install apps from market place because of that problem.

I've got an app called CacheMate, clears all the caches with the press of one button, must be root though.
