Hello,

I have a Motorola Droid and the latest release of Android (Froyo 2.2).
My question is I want to send a music video that is going to a Non-Android phone. This phone can play videos and is a standard Verizon branded phone. The video has already been converted to the standard .3gp format from my PC which uses Roxio 2010 Video converter.

I have the following Apps installed to assist me:
Astro File Manager (With both extensions installed and latest release)
Handcent SMS (No Font Packs Installed)

The video itself is almost 4 minutes long and the size of the video is only 9.40MB.

Thoughts?

Wow.... I already said I am using Handcent SMS because the regular text messaging app is nothing compared to it.

Wow you didn't say you actually tried...

Geez.
So does handcent try to send or does immediately tell you its invalid.
I know if I record a video in high format wether its 1second or not it just wont do it.
Now if I have camera set to lower quality I can send upwards of 30secondz.
I have never understood, the 30sec low is alot bigger MB wise...

Handcent SMS immediately says it cannot attach the file. The file is 4 minutes long but its cell phone quality and not high definition. Also, I manually updated my phone to Froyo, but last night I got the over-the-air update and it forced me to do it. I had to reinstall and reconfigure my apps after it installed and then I also did a factory reset to see if I could get my speed back on my phone. My phone is not rooted.

well I'm not sure with T-mo but verizon has a different PIX/FLIX address. vtext is for text messages only but @vzwpix.com is for video and pictures. However, I really don't think it'll work. I do not think vzw compresses video files.

What kind of phone that your T-mo friend have? You can try uploading your vid to picasa and then sending the picasa link to your friend? Maybe he/she can view and dl the video using his/her phone's browser?
