Pricing - $199 plus BOGO!!!

Wow, serious? Looking for a phone for me and my wife. That probably finalized my decision -- that will save us $200. Does anyone know if I can still use my $50 NE2 credit on this as well?

If this is to be the latest and greatest on the Verizon network, why would they offer this deal? Any insiders here?

Could it be possible that you can't get 2 Fascinates on the BOGO offer, meaning only 1 of the phones can be fascinate, the other has to be a something different? Otherwise this is an awesome deal

Whats NE2 credit?

Whats NE2 credit?
NE2 = New Every Two (Years). VzW wants the customers to upgrade their phones every two years.

The primary person of an account gets $100 discount. Other additional people in that account will receive less discount....like $50.

BOGO is always for equal or less device. So if it is true, that means Samsung is pushing hard on this phone. RIM did that before and it allowed them to brag they had sold more BB Bold than the iPhone in a certain quarter. :)

This BOGA not BOGO. The offer will probably be for another type of phone that does not need to be heavily subsidized like the ALLY or Omnia 2. I seriously doubt they are going to be giving $1200 worth of phones out for $199.

I know T-mobile launched with a BOGO on the Vibrant. I am actually not surprised that the same may/will happen for the Fascinate.

Ok, so after some digging around I have a theory about the BOGO(A) deal. If the Samsung Gem is also to be released at the same day as the fascinate then the deal will probably be Buy the Fascinate and get the Gem free. To me that would make much more sense business wise for verizon.

It'll probably be the only way they can get rid of the enty level Gem.

Just my theory on this. I for one really hope it is BOGO and not BOGA.

I doubt VZW will offer the D2 as part of a BOGA deal; the D2 just came out, and offering it as a free phone via BOGA means they aren't making money off the D2. Or am I wrong?

Motorola will definitely want sales of their phones - D2, X - not to give them away as part of a BOGA deal.

I could see the Incredible offered, though.

Part of me still wants to wait about 30 days for people to report on the Fascinate: battery life, GPS, lag, etc.

That's kinda what Iwould think but they have it as a "Buy One Get Any" I would assumethat's any phone of equal or lesser value. Really they don't make any money on phone sales they make it on contracts.

I think I might pick this phone up either way next week check it out and if I don't like it I'll return it . That simple, I still really really like my Incredible btu there are some pretty cool features on the Samsung that kinda have me intrigued to at least give it a test drive for a week or two.

That's a rich hobby you have, my friend :)

If I had the cash, I'd do the same thing.

We need to have some good ROM devs lined up for this phone. Not sure if it's enough to poke into the Vibrant/Captivate/SGS forums to check out ROMs for the Fascinate; I know they're technically the same phone, but I don't know the portability of the ROMs between the different variants.

I'd like to see a Froyo build with Bing removed...just as a big FU to VZW and M$...

I have 8 lines for my business so I use my employees upgrades , they get the left over used phones which are mostly simple flip phones . Makes my stupid hobby pretty cheap. I usually end out making money with each upgrade.
I got my Eris for basically free , sold it for $250 got my Incredible for $200 so BAM made $50 . And to get my Eris I gave my Dare to my 16yr old Cousin who in trade worked 15free hours for me so that saved me money also. It's all good over here lol
