My Batter Life Issue-Seems to be different

Ok so when I first got my phone I had the 100% Awake time issue. I did all the steps stated in these forums to fix this problem. It did help as I now do not have 100% Awake Time. I am at about 60% or more all the time now though. I do use the phone a lot and I unerstand that will cause it to be higher than the usualy 10-20% others have but it never goes below 60% even when I do not use it.

Perfect example I charged it all night and I picked up my phone off the charger in the morning at about 9am. I went to the store (never used it), Got my haircut (Used it once to answer a call), went to get breakfast(sent a few texts), went to my class(Never used it for 3 hours) and I still checked it and i had 64% Awake Time and my battery was at half...

I would say that is casual use for a phone and to lose half battery and still have 64% awake time doesnt seem right.

I have turned off:
Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, I got ATK to close all my apps, I turned down brightness, I use handcent for MMS... Any other suggestions?

I use Advanced Task Manager and have no issues. I like the one-touch "kill all non-excluded" shortcut on my home screen. With the names being so close there has been a lot of confusion. After almost a month of use and seasoning of the battery I'm at 80% after 7 hours with 10% usage. Mobile and GPS are on.

I think I have turned of Google Sync but where do I go to make sure of that?

I have turned my brightness way down already.

Thanks for the advice.

Turning off Google sync is, of course, your choice, but doing so greatly diminishes the usefulness of the phone. Nobody should have such extreme battery issues that would warrant this.

I would suggest minimizing the number of widgets you use, especially ones that are constantly active. Try using shortcuts instead of widgets in some cases.

How do I go about using shortcuts? This is my first smart phone. I usually play some games, text, make calls and facebook a little bit.

Do bettery widgets really drain that much battery? Kind of ironic. I'm using the one I have now just so i can kind of gauge the phone.
Yeah, I'm wondering about this myself.

I've also switched camps on the task killer program issue. I've used ATK all day today and there's absolutely no question that battery life has improved. The issue, at least for me, seems to be apps that do not shut down. ATK cures that.
