Running 2.5.0.1 Premium and every function I try to use generates this message: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"

Sucks to pay for something and can't use it. Thoughts before I uninstall it and return it to the Market for a refund?

Give me a little bit more info here.

I presume you are on a Droid 1, with the FRG22D build...?

You got ROM Manager recently, installed it, then when you open ROM Manager and try to run any function it says that?

I presume you have gone through the root process and have achieved Root Access on the phone?

Let me know.

Yes. Rooted Droid 1 running FRG22D. I get the error when I try to run the following functions: Flash ClockworkMod Recovery, Fix Permissions, Flash Alternate Recovery. When I attempt to use Reboot into Recovery, and Install ROM from SD Card it simply stalls. It doesn't lock up, it just doesn't perform the requested function.

Okay, bear with me here, I know you may actually know more about all this than I do so be patient with the questions from me as I feel around a bit:

How did you root? Are you positive you have root?
(I only ask because rooted FRG22D is kind of rare...as you may know it blocks all the one-click rooting tools)

Next, have you tried a battery pull for one minute, then go back into RM and try to flash Clockwork Recovery. When you are in RM and successfully flash Clockwork it will show the build number of Clockwork that is now flashed.

Next, if you are positive you have root, and flashing Clockwork several times does not work, I would try possibly uninstalling ROM Manager and reinstalling.

Hundreds of people on this board rely on ROM Manager, including me and it usually works quite well.
