So people,

My HTC Desire is up and running for 3d 4h 2m 33s and I still have 55% battery left. What the hell is going on. Okay I have not used it much the last couple of days because I'm studying hard but I've mad about 10 calls, sent about 30 texts, some wifi and internet and the battery just hardly drains. I know it's not a bad thing and most of you might be jealous but I'm used to getting 40 hours max.

Regards

I tried posting here with my Desire but the battery died before finishing...
It had been unplugged for 7,5 hours! How on earth has the battery life gone that bad..
Looks like after I installed froyo, it's gone worse somehow. And even worse after reading an article about task killers and uninstalling that.. That should've increased the battery life, too?
Any tips in improving the battery life? Haven't tried the charging trick (10h + 2h off and something) yet. Should that be tried?

4d 12h 24m 40s @ 20% battery remaining

People embellish. ;)

Well, I'm not.

Check your battery use and report back.

Yeah that's a bit high, the radio is working hard to maintain a signal.

Why is that high? It means that his phone is idle all the time and he rarely uses it. The sum of battery use is 100%; it's simple math. One percentage is used for this and the other percentage for that, otherwise you wouldn't get to 100 you see. Sorry if my explanation is weird; English is not my mother tongue.
