I need help with Music Mod. It does not detect music from /emmc/MP3. This is a default music location that is detected by the Stock Music app. Seems Music Mod is only detecting music from my SD card MP3 folder. Whats the deal? Help me. Is there any location on internal storage that will be detected by Music Mod?

Overall, Music Mod rocks...but if I cannot fix above issue....its a deal breaker. I have limited space on my SD card....and lots of space on internal storage. I put music in internal storage.

How do you have more internal storage than SD card storage?

There's only 1GB of internal storage on the EVO and majority of that is taken up by pre-installed apps and Sprint stuff. From there, I think there was only something like 300+mb of space to save data.

Do you have a different phone than the EVO?

I have a different phone (Droid Incredible). Has 8GB internal storage. Regardless.....does anyone have answer for me?

So i use Music Mod which i like alot, but it picks up every audio file on my sd card. Wish i could set it to only use my Music folder.

StudioKUMA .nomedia Manager - Android app on AppBrain

This app does exactly what I would be telling you to do manually...easier this way. It use the ".nomedia" trick. It places this kinda dummy file in whatever folder you want media players not to see....

Oh, okay. That makes sense now...hahaha.

Maybe try creating a "music" folder on your internal storage and transferring the files in there, rather than having them in the default folder.

Astro and ES File Explorer would not let me create a folder on internal storage. I guess I need root to do that. BUT.....I could create folders when I plugged phone into my computer and did it from my computer.

Creating a "music" folder on internal storage did NOT work. Thanks for suggestion though.

Music Mod really needs a Custom folder select feature.....wow. Everyone please email/contact the developer and beg. I already did

Well i don't know what happened but now my audio books don't show in the songs title area. This is good, just what i wanted. Now what would make this a GREAT app, is when the phone goes to sleep and you awake it you have the player menu there to fast foward, pause, rewind, ect. like the stock player. Instead you have to swipe to unlock first, then if you have the home screen you have to again swipe down choose the music app then do whatever you want.

I think the stock player is the only one that can get its hooks into the lock screen. For any other player widget, you'll need something like Widget Locker to control it from the lock screen (I really should get a piece of this guy's profit!).
bplayer does it too:

i haved tried many of em but cant really decide what to use? so figured id grab your choices on what to use for the music player on the evo.
cube, doubletwist, mixzing, Stock Etc...

Stock. It works alright if you pair it with a file manager (AndroZip, Astro, and the like). I'd like for HTC to extend the file/folder management to the Music Player widget in future updates, because file management is inadequate on the stock music player.

Until I see a 5-star music player in the Market, I will continue to use the stock player...

Does it have to be the app that's currently in the active on the screen, or can you navigate to another app and still have the player appear on the lock screen?

With "3", it does not have to be active on the screen. The only draw back is sometimes it loads the normal lock screen, then flashes over to the "3" lockscreen. Try it out, it is a neat player.

Most of them have their own "lock screens" which are pretty ugly Sense player is the only one integrated into the Sense lock screen. bTunes has a "lock screen" player as well.
