any ui like sense aval for droid

I tried GDE and downloaded a few Hero themes and wasn't all that impressed.

I think because those themes aren't made for the high res screen of the droid so to me they didn't really look that good. I returned it but I think in a few months I'll try it out again because eventually these themes will fully support the Droid.

I did buy dxTop though, the 4 home screen and dual menus at the bottom wooed me.

Donated to Home++ Beta and it's stable: 4 screens, quick launch bar. Added Beautiful Widgets. Not really Sense UI, since Sense UI has some other nice widgets not currently available. But that makes sense because these Home Replacements aren't really memory intensive like Sense (which uses almost 100mb of memory). If you want Sense, you should have gotten an HTC.

I agree, I like Home++ a lot. I was using GDE, but Home++ is just so much faster and smoother. Stability wise, they're both pretty good, but I really like the layout, ability to hide the notification bar, and the speed (I'll mention again) is awesome. I loved GDE, but it was jerky when changing screens, especially if I used the cube animation.

As far as Hero themes, they're just going to be that - themes. You won't be able to get the actual Sense UI and all of its bells and whistles, unfortunately. If you just want the look and feel, you can definitely get a Hero theme with icons and such, but it's not going to be the same. I tried this at first, but just ended up making a custom layout instead, and actually prefer it.

If you really want to have Sense, you could always swap your phone for an Eris.

I don't really get the Sense fanaticism. I've used it and after a while, yeah, there's some neat/slick things (very iPhone-ish), but nothing I'm going to write home about. I'd rather have those 100 mb of memory back. The Eris is seriously underpowered which is why HTC is trying to develop a flagship Android phone. VZW is unloading that Eris like a fire sale: Buy one Eris, get one free!

I use open home + the hero theme.

And beautiful widgets, the new update has animations like sense which are awesome.

I have beautiful widgets on my phone, and it looks almost identical to my wifes Eris weather/ clock thing

I have messed around with a few of the UI's, and I think the home++ is the best out of them all, I like the factory one with the beautiful widget on it , so I stuck with it.

Weather Widget Donate is much smoother then Beautiful Widgets IMO, you can also get the free forecast add on which will give you animated weather like Sense, plus it can be linked to a app like The Weather Channel to get a more detailed forecast. The best part is you can download skins for the clock and weather icons and they are all free.

To each his own, can't beat the forecast add on AND ability to link to another weather app with more in-depth forecasts. Plus the developer is a BIG Android junkie and is always updating. When I have used Beautiful Widegets on my G1 and DROID it always ate up a ton of memory and would give random FC's for no apparent reason, developer wouldn't respond to any of my email's either.

I'm sorry but Weather Widget app still doesn't display the weather while in landscape mode. Don't know why that hasn't been fixed. Beautiful Widgets is by far the better app.
