I'm using the Droid X multimedia dock. I spent less than five minutes removing the magnet and hdmi connector and all it really needs now is just a little bit of material shaved from the left side for the phone to sit perfectly flush (it's more noticeable in the picture than it is in person).

What are you using for the clock info in landscape?
I just bought that same dock.
Amazon has right angle usb for .87 and 2.97 shipping.
Right angle connectors are unusable for docking applications with the Incredible. What you would ideally want is a left angle, or, even better yet, an up angle connector.

A right angle connector routes the cable back toward the top of the phone and would interfere with the dock. You can reference pictures of the different connectors at the below link to see what I'm talking about.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...20727&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2631wt_1142

najaboy my set-up is below. and if i can get the Angle that works best for me its game over as far as docks go- you seem to understand these things better so which one do you suggest-

that bend holds the phone at slight angle and after time im sure the cable will get Fed up.

Im thinking this bad boy should work.?

Um do double sided tape then? my cars interior is silver and exterior is silver everything melts in there. It would just fall off.

I took the picture of the sledge hammer sitting on it and it was about 100 degree's (my vehicle is all black)... this mount is about a half ounce, I think you are confusing this automotive grade tape with some kind of household tape.

This is the same stuff that holds on all your outside molding/fender flares on cars/trucks.

They also used to use it to hold the cell phone antenaes on the glass back in the old cell days, you would pull a hole through the glass or break the plastic before this stuff lets go ... its also rated for a automotive paint spray booths and they get up to 160 degree's inside them ... if it does fall off it would be either bad preperation before applying it, or your car was on fire lol

Thats why I include piano wire and specific instruction on how to remove it, its very strong.

The ebay link doesn't seem to be working. It takes me to "This listing () has been removed, or this item is not available."

Anyways... the up angle connector should be exactly what you're looking for. I can't say with 100% certainty that the connector overmold is going to give you the clearance you need since I can't find any dimensions for the cables sold by USBFirewire. Per the micro-USB spec, however, 18.5mm is typical (and the overmold of the OEM cable conforms to this), so it should be okay. If not, it appears that they do have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
