Yup, the little mexicans at the vzw factory work 24/7. Once they are done packing your iPhasinate up, they get the hot air ballon ready to go. Eat some beans and bingo, hot air. But they won't be able to find your house because the GPS is busted in your phone.

Did you have to pay $299 and deal with a MIR? If so it might be better just going and getting it tomorrow at the store. You would get it faster.

No you won't. Its after 430p local time. That is the shipping cut off. Thursday is the earliest.

Their website is changing fast. They have added a mail in rebate to the 3 Droids and Fascinate where before it was instant if you ordered online. They have also removed buy one get one that was there when they first added the Fascinate.

And I'm looking at Verizon's online store right now and the MIR is still there for the Android phones :-(

Yeah no mail in rebate it said you got the online discount whichh can't be combined with mail in rebate. Maybe thwy changed it to get people to pick it up in stores.

Dunno what I want to do now, I was waiting for online store purchase specifically to avoid a MIR. My sense is that they aren't likely to sell out fast on this phone but who knows given that the X is currently on backorder.

I am inclined to wait and check with my Best Buy tomorrow if they'll let me sign up for a 1 yr contract like I want to with Verizon directly, hopefully the online store won' sell out by then in case my Best Buy only does 2 yr contracts.

I wouldn't worry about it being sold out. There will be plenty to go around and VZW has not advertised the Fascinate at all. From what I know Best Buy will not do one year contracts, only two year. Also the Fascinate wont be in stores until Thursday the 9th.

Yea, I don't really think they'll sell out either given that the majority of those wanting a Verizon android phone may have already gone with an X, INC, or D2 rather than the unheralded Fascinate.

I've read online that some Best Buys do 1yr contracts and it varies store to store, guess it's worth checking if I can still pre-order one and pick it up Thur. morning too, assuming mine does 1 yrs.

I ordered mine and didn't have to worry about MIR. Verizon is still doing the online discount instead of the MIR for online orders. I'll see how it compares with my DInc on Thursday.

I have been trying to order for an hour now and about ready to SCREAM. Every time I try to place the order once I finish "Selecting Features" I get this ridiculous error "The selection you made is unavailable at this time". I've tried it on five different browsers on two different PCs.

This combined with the apparent MIR and Verizon refusing to give me the appropriate $100 NE2 discount I should qualify for has me really wanting to just jump ship after 10 years with VZW.
