Root Stumped

I got almost through part one where you boot up the bootloader here is what I get................................SD Checking pc36img.zip
loading
No image
loading no image or wrong image
loading...............

Main Version is Older
Update fail!

Do you want to reboot device?

I checked the Sd card and the image (zip) is there. Thanks for any and all help!!

well, i was hoping you were using simple root, but if you are following that guide to the letter, then you are using unrevoked. I had a similar error message when using simple root that I found a work around for.

Have you tried the new one click method for unrevoked? maybe that would work for you???

Yeah I know it will root since I root mine last night but I am saying I think the one click root only work for 2.1 but I am not sure on that

The new unrevoked 3.2 is intended to root 2.2 devices.... in one click. but i think the link has been pulled out because a couple of bugs were reported, so if u dont wanna do it the long way ( which is not really that complicated anyway) then some ppl might wanna wait til they sort out the issues with unrevoked 3.2

I prefer to do it the long way, just after four attempts with the exact same outcome, one tends to become quite frustrated! I guess I will mount the disk and get rid of the zip files that I pulled onto the SD card earlier and download them again and try some more!!

I had this issue when I tried to unroot, it has to do with the version of your bootloader. If I remember correctly, I had to find a different version of the pc36img and had no problems. When I rooted my second evo following the new method, and using simpleroot instead of unrevoked,i had no issues
Now that I am in 2.1 can I use the simpleroot method? Unrevoked3 has been taken down!!!
