What colors can the Droid X emit for reminders of events? So for the only ones Ive seen are Green and Red, but Missed reminders offers many more, but they dont seem to work. Not sure if its the App or the hardware on the droid.
thanks!
(I want to set up email for orange, FB for green, and SMS as red, like i had on another phone *cough*bb*cough*

I have handcent set up for purple LED notifications, Gmail notifier gives me blue for emails... I tested a bunch of colors with handcent and they worked well. Some better than others - orange looked cheesy.

If you're using a third party notifying app, make sure you turn off the stock notifications, or they will override the custom ones.

awesome, so its probably a devolper issue with the software, or maybe i need to kill off the "normal" notifications? The BB needed an app to do this too - wish they would port it for the android. I paid for it on BB, id pay again for the same thing here. You could do AIM/facebook/email/sms/mms/gtalk.... all different, had "disco" options so like my low battery was the RED led doing "SOS" in morse code... very cool app.

Interestingly, I was playing with this last night and there seem to be some combinations that cause the LED to not turn on. I was creating custom colors with Handcent and I tried to create white, and I tried one other color too where the LED won't turn on.

Testing shows that it was doing well with combinations of 2 LEDs but was not doing well when I asked for a 3 LED color. Almost certainly a driver issue, since all 3 LEDs are there.

I had purple, blue, cyan, orange, red, magenta, green and yellow all running fine, though. While of course I would enjoy having RGB colors, realistically all I need is different colors for Gmail, Calendar, SMS and missed calls/voicemails since those are the only important notifications that I want regularly.

No, the reminders only show when the screen is off. When I do my testing, I just punch the "test reminder" button in Handcent and shut the screen off to see what it looks like.

At a guess, there is probably a way to make it blink when the screen is on using an application... but I don't know how.

I have Blink. Personally, I love it.
I have a Droid X.

MOST of the colors work on the Droid X.
(The purple was my personal favorite)
I didn't try out ALL of the colors, but I know that the pink LED Did not work.
It's not really that big of a flaw, and it could just be the Droid X led capability.

The only thing that bugs me is that the LED doesn't go off when you're using your phone.
(Ie. Running applications, or simply on the home screen)
Your phone has to be locked in order for the light to work.
I'm not sure if that is a Blink issue, or a Droid issue.

It would be nice to have a color slider that enables more custom-like colors.
Overall, I would give the app a 9/10.
