Root How soon til root?

I'm not questioning you or your statement, just looking for all the info I can find. Do you have a link you can share on how to do this for the fascinate?

No offense, but i am not going to go off on Google and start posting a bunch of links here showing that its rooted.

Perhaps later i will take a screen shot of my sweet Ninja App on the fascinate for you. ;)

So since you say its the same method as the captivate I could use the same method they have without a computer in the captivate forums????

I have not tried any other method. If i have free time, i might try the without a computer method like the captivate.

This is the only way i have done this. As well as the guy that showed me this method.

No offense taken, I didn't know if you already had a link to a process you were aware of or had used in the past.

It appears you made some additional posts to help with the process and your comments on replacing Bing with Google is very good news in deed. Thanks!

Since you guys are talking about roots is it possible to ever "un-root" a phone? Im just asking because I plan on reselling this phone probably a month or two after I get it. Would anyone recommend me to not root the phone if I plan on reselling it?

I'm a total noob to smart phones, especially android devices. Anyways I'm in the same boat as most of you, only thing stopping me from totally jumping on this phone is the whole Bing ordeal. If it wasn't such a bad search engine/navigator (not that bad but doesn't even come close to google) then I honestly wouldnt mind.

Why even get it if you are only going to sell it in a month?

Depends on the buyer if you should root it or not. Some people want their phone rooted, so they wouldn't mind purchasing a rooted phone.

Yes, you can unroot phones. But, if your intentions are to resell it within a few months, i personally wouldn't root it. Just enjoy the phone stock then put it back on the market for sale.
