Root New Unrevoked 3.21 Beta for FROYO is up

is there installation direction somewhere? I got the link

It looks like they took them down from the site until it's official.

Here is a link that might help - I'm not an expert at this though so I can't really troubleshoot for you:

I didnt get thru any of it cuz I was worried about doing something wrong. I really cant afford to brick my phone or something. Plus I'm not even sure why I wanna root. any good reasons? I would like to get rid of bloatware but its not a must

Everyone has to answer this question for himself/herself but the best reason I can give, now that I've done it, is that it is sooo much fun to be able to change things... themes, status bar changes, fonts, etc. It gives a level of control with the phone that just makes it such a toy! Don't get me wrong, I make serious use of my phone but who has not been drawn to the android phone because on some level they are just plain fun to play around with.

I agree with you 100%. I was nervous in the beginning, but am so glad I am rooted now. I have moved some Verzion bloatware and added wireless tether function. I am getting more and more involved as I learn more. I love my DINC Toy...I mean Phone!!!

TOKEDUP...If you follow this guide, you should be good to go http://www.jonamerica.com/technology/howto-root-the-htc-droid-incredible/...I used it, only difference is this is for 3.14 and 3.21 has the s-off already in it.

There is a list of benefits here at the top of the installation page:

You can also install custom ROMs that don't include bloatware and fixed stock froyo bugs with sometimes enhanced battery life.

Just a quick question for those keeping track. Sometime right before midnight last night (eastern time) I saw the latest beta posted in the IRC channel. I downloaded it, but was seeing that with the incredibles they were getting root, but not all of them would go all the way to s-off. Just curious if that has been resolved or if they are still working. If anyone has any more information I'd love to see it. I was going to hold off using the file if they had a new version out as I definitely want s-off.
