Help Epic 4G Glass Problem, coming loose?

I am having problems with my bevel on my Epic. When I tap the screen it feels as if it is hitting something below it, and when I push down on the glass the slightest bit it actually goes down a little bit where you can see it move, I might be nit picking or not maybe it is supposed to do this. The corners dont just the middle and the side. Anyone else have this problem?

Also when I tap on the bottom left corner it does sound like the screen, or glass is hitting the case that is holding it. It does not do this on the right side. Is this an issue and what merit's exchanging it?

No problem with mine.

Yes, get it exchanged!!!

Alright, im not nit picking then? Can I go to my sprint store and get it exchanged for free? I bought it from a radioshack. Also if I try and show them the problem will they believe me do you think. some people just say you are nit picking, but we are the first units out and they will have problems.

If you bought it at Radio Shack you'll have to get it exchanged at RS.

They are all usually pretty good about that stuff. They should do it without question once you show them the problem.

Taking it back to Radioshack tomorrow morning, they have one left and hopefully they dont sell it tonight, but you can tell there is a problem so no issue there and the guy on the phone was awesome about it.

i thought i had something loose on epic#1 but realized it was actually only seeming that way & had play due to the slider .. once keyboard was out all was solid and didnt seem loose

That might actually be my problem too. On the right side the slider part is actually lifted a little bit. But when mine is closed and I tap it with my finger it still makes like a clicking noise like it is hitting something, can you test this please?

Forget about nit picking. You paid hundreds of dollars for a premium device. You should be happy with it regardless how tiny the flaw.

I know, and thank you, I took it back to Radioshack and love my New Epic. There is something different about it. I dont really know. But the guys at Radioshack were awesome about it. The guy that helped me was a huge Palm Pre owner and he said he had to exchange his Pre like 10 times :p .

I just got mine exchanged at radioshack as well. Showed the guy my issue, and he tried it out for a bit. Showed him how the glass was lifted (leveled with the bezel, while the other corners had the bezel showing all around) from the bottom left corner, giving me a hard time with the menu button.

I agree with you on how theres something different about it! LOL!! The four buttons on the bottom are working perfect!! It just feels different :D

I have this problem, but in my case I don't know if it is flex in the housing or the screen. My screen makes no noise or flex with the keyboard slid out. When the keyboard is in, the left side of the phone is creaky. Left side of screen is level with the bezel. This is my third one. I think I will wait till the end of the month before trying to exchange it. It really is a pain in the ass. Sprint needed this like a hole in the head.

Hmmm never noticed this problem until I stumbled across this thread, thanks alot!

Yeah I have some lifting on the lower left side, and the glass will press downward at that point if I try. The glass is higher than the bevel there, where everywhere else it's lower than the bevel.

If this is a static condition, i.e. if it won't get worse, I'm not too worried about it. If it's going to eventually start separating, that's another matter. Does anyone have any experience with this condition deteriorating over time?

Has anyone tried exchanging an Epic at Best Buy because of this problem?
