After my sixth replacement, three of them coming within the last three days, they have finally decided to send me a free incredible. To get this one though, I have to turn in my old Eris. Its going to be a sad, sad day.

The eris was my first smart phone ever, and my introduction into the linux world as well. When i first got the phone, it took me hours to learn my first adb push command. This phone has taught me a lot and will be dearly missed.

This forum will also be very dearly missed. You all have been so supportive and helpful that im going to be sad to go.

Ill still be around, just hanging out in the INC forums instead. Ill try and stay involved over here, as i have a few projects going that are still in use (White Widow, Transparent Chaos, etc)

Thank you all for being as awesome as you are. Even if im not personally using an eris, feel free to contact me about it anytime. I still plan to be active over here because you all are just so awesome.

I second the "thank you, andrizoid" remarks.. your work as a developer and your ongoing support of your ROMs in here, not to mention your contribution as a helper in here have all been good.

Good luck with the Incredible. I look forward to saying goodbye to the Eris in a bit over a year. I'm not unhappy with the Eris, I'm just capable of being happy with a newer and faster phone too -- whatever make/model it will be.

i was never unhappy with the eris either-when it was working. the problem was getting it to work for more than a week or two lol

and they didnt touch my upgrade date, so ill still be eligible for the next best when my upgrade date rolls around next year. and im sure the inc will be able to hold it down till then. i dont expect it to be irrelevant within a year, not with its sexy snapdragon processor :)

andrizoid,

Dude, I just saw this thread...(busy day at work and after-work too)...

Glad to see you finally got the Incredible...(wasn't the deodex thing I helped you with related to building a ROM for the Inc? I was never sure and didn't visit the Inc forums to see if you released a ROM for those guys too).

Anyway, I've had my Droid X since its launch day and I still feel compelled to hang-around my with Eris compadres...they are a great bunch you folks and you are certainly one of them (and still will be even if you don't visit us anymore :(--but, I know you will ;)).

Thank you again for all of your contributions to all of the folks out here.

Cheers and let me know if you need anything.

i got some info on the rosie remapping, that looks like somthing i could do thatd be helpful for the eris and inc

for the rom thing SA, at the time i wasnt aware of the mdpi and hdpi differences-i learn things as i come across them-and after realizing it, i realized that i wouldnt be able to do a direct port of an eris rom to the inc

and of course ill still be around, i have the inc and eris and their root subforums as my favorites :p

Meh...Whatever. Just kidding man; I figured this day would come at some point. It's sad for the Eris users, but at the same time, congratulations on your new Incredible. Thanks for all of your work (ROMs and otherwise), your support, and for just being an all-around cool f***er. I certainly hope you will continue to visit the Eris forums; often people say they will, but rarely actually do. As a friend of mine always says "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened"...(that's pretty dramatic for me ;)). Anyway, one last time for old time's sake: (careful with the Dutch Dragon).
