i have a nokia E71 and will be getting my Desire 8182 soon..

i am on the ATT network in north america

my questions are

1. what is the easiest way to transfer all the google calender entries to the new HTC Desire?
2. Contacts and phone numbers trasnfer to desire?

oh.. BTW i can not wait to start using this phone..

the nokia is good and worked. but this new desire HTC should give me more function and seemless social networking apps..

plus i need a great photo viewer because i am a pro photographer

and need to show poses to clients so my need for Ipod touch and Nokia will be now just one device.. HTC Desire.. haha.. love it..

thanks in advance

Android integrates your google account throughout. Just log in on the Desire, let it sync, and voila--your calendar entries!

You've got two options. Either you sync your contacts with gmail on your Nokia, or you export the contacts to your SIM card and import them into the Desire.

Congrats on the switch! You'll love it and never look back.

Not unless it's 1999 again.

Bluetooth on both devices, pair, on the Nokia select all contacts and send via bluetooth to the desire.

These will then be sync'd to Google with not loss of data, as you would using the antiquated SIM transfer method ;)

Hi, I have used bluetooth on both phones (Nokia 6500 to HTC Desire HD). When I tried to look for the transferred calendar entries, I can not find it in my HTC HD. I dont know where the entries went

You can sync your contacts direct from your Nokia phone into your Google Mail contacts. All it requires is a few settings to be changed and then it uploads them all over the air.

The process is slightly different depending on what phone you have, these are the instructions I used for my 6300: Nokia 6300 : Device Set Up Instructions but just Googling your model number and 'google contacts sync' should come up with yours.

Once the contacts from the Nokia are in Gmail it's just a case of letting them sync with your Desire
