Help Getting audio through bluetooth??

Hey ya's. I got myself a bluetooth fm transmitter for my work van and tested it out today. For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

Yep. When I've done that it comes up with the options to Connect to the Device, and under Profiles it gives me the option of 'Phone - Use for phone audio' but that's it. So maybe the device can't stream media audio? The device does say it has bluetooth 2 with a2dp, and that a mobile call has priority over a2dp play.

An update. I tried my old omnia out and it connects but not music and in advanced settings it doesn't give me the option to select music connection. I also tried my wifes iphone and also the same problem, the phone features will work but not music.

The ebay ad says compatibility: mobile/cell phone via bluetooth or audio cable. The side of the packaging says Bluetooth version: BlueCore3 and Bluetooth Voice with AD2P. The instructions say you can use bluetooth to play the music from mobile directly if the mobile has ad2p. And that you can connect one mobile to the device using the phone features, and at the same time a second mobile to the device using audio features.

Is it sounding like time to contact the seller??

Dear friend, I am also facing exactly same situation! I would be interested in what the seller has to say. Worst case, we may have to return this accessory...

So far they've been good. Before arranging an exchange they double checked me on how to connect it via bluetooth, and also got me to check if the transmitter worked via audio cable (which it did canceling out the transmitter as faulty). Even apologised for the trouble they've caused. So when I hear back next I'm assuming it'll be exchange time.

Mine and the Wifes connects fine through the alpine 9866r and kce-300bt unit.

Is Galaxy S compatible with alpine Bluetooth kce-300 bt?? I tried it with a friend's phone and it said it was imposible to connect. It didn't appear while using other phones as nexus one, iphone...

I am still doubting about which phone shoud I buy, have you installed something to make it compatible? Is your contact list updated and sincronized with the unit?

Thanks!!

if you have activated bluetooth via the drop down menu in sgs, it does not make the phone visible to other devices. you must go to settings/wireless and network/bluetooth settings and check visible and for 2 minutes it will be visible. with the specified time, you must connect to the specified device else it will go back to invisible mode again.
