G1 or wait for the touch pro?

I really like the touch pro from the stuff i've seen on it, but the G1 looks pretty sick and they have a real release date. My 6700 is on its last legs. The keyboard wont go in all the way and i have to put a ton of force on the call button to make it work. Saw dust comes out of the screen when i shake it too. I can wait a few months max.

I really like most of the google stuff and think android might be able to kick WM6's ass. But i have never used WM6, only WM5. The touch pro looks like a cooler phone, but does not have much if anything over the G1.

The screen looks better on the G1, but the extra ram (i always run out), better camera, radio, and video out sound pretty sweet. Other than that it does not look like much difference.

the G1 features a capacitive touch display, compared to the HTC touch diamond/touch pro's resistive touch displays. therefore, the control will be better on the G1, with sensitivity, screen brightness, contrast, and clarity rivaling the iphone.

the touch pro is a great device, but i would much prefer the G1's display and screen size. the device i AM truly waiting for is the Sony X1.

Thanks for the tips! I like the X1 as well and its the only other phone i am considering. Stick android on any of these 3 phones and have them use verizon and i'll be a happy man! I'm totally sick of the phone locked to carrier scam the telecom companies have going. Verizon seems to be way behind the times too, but their service is the best at my house. Anytime somebody has problems with thier cell phone at my place its always because they have tmobile, att/cingular, or sprint/nextel.

Wait. Not neccerily for the touch pro, but wait.

Personally I'm in a market that might be getting WiMax soon. The possibility of the Android on WiMax is at least enough to keep me from going with Tmob for the moment.

the touch pro does look amazing with wm6 in the demo videos..
