Root How long until one click root for Fascinate???

Just wondering how long you all thought it would be before there is a one click root app for the Fascinate?? I can't imagine it would be long.

You are referring to bypassing the power button + unlock just to get to the home screen correct? I hope soon. This is the only thing I will miss about my Storm. I love one touch and its on. Great for on the road.
Can't imagine there isn't already something out there considering how open source Android is.

No, I don't think that is what the original poster meant...the original post is talking about a single step process for obtaining superuser permissions on the phone.

But what you're talking about can probably be solved by one of two apps on the market: NoLock and/or LockBot.

You are correct burningmembers. Just wondering when something like EasyRoot will be out for the Fascinate.

It's kind of one of those things that noone knows how long. Could be today could be a couple weeks. It was about a month or two after root was achieved on the Incredible before an easy root method was released.

I'm kind of watching the Fascinate root section to see how things start to progress before I fully consider making the switch

Don't let the rooting method stop you from making the switch. We've had an easier root since day one which is so much better than the wait we had with the Incredible. And I know you could easily handle the current rooting method. It's nice to see you over here. We need some more Incredible people to make the switch. (ie. Adrynalyne )

The only thing we need is Clockworkmod and some nice custom froyo roms.

I still really like my Incredible, I'm having to get a replacment but I Figured either way better to get a new or refurbed one before making a switch will make the phone worth slightly more selling it.

I still haven't gone in to a Verizon to check the Fascinate out , I'm gonna try today or tomorrow.

However, I've read where these apps will prevent phone from going "to sleep" and will drain battery. Does either app prevent this? Will read up on them.

Hitting power and unlock is such a PITA. Not sure what "genius" came up with that one. Even on my Blackberry Storm, i just tap the screen and presto, there I am. My battery would last for two days, so i know this is possible on the Android phones. Never could figure that part out.
