1) Restart phone via Koush bootstrap into Recovery Mode
2) Select Mounts and Storage
3) Select Format System (ONLY DO THIS IF IT FAILS TO INSTALL THE FIRST TIME)
4) Select Mount System
5) Back out by pressing Power button
6) Select Install zip from sdcard
7) Select choose zip from sdcard
8) find and select this zip file
9) First Boot may take up to 5 minutes

STOP: IF YOU LOOSE ROOT YOU CAN USE THIS METHOD AS FOUND ON XDA. It takes only 3 - 5 minutes to root your phone. Root Instructions

Thanks goes out to:
Team Black Hat

Root Thanks:
Sebastian

Thanks to Dark Matter we again have a nandroid for everyone to install, it is the new froyo rooted and with the market fix
Here

I got this error:
E:Can't open /sdcard/DX-2313-Deodexed.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.

Does this mean I need to do the Format System step?
If so, does Format systyem do any damage or will I lose anything? root? apps? ect
It just looks like your ZIP file wasn't downloaded or copied to the SD card right. Try copying it again, if that fails, redownload it.

So this is the "official" OTA update that will be releasing by VZW very shortly? If so, this is a big FU to Motorola for scaring everyone into thinking they couldn't upgrade from the earlier "leaked" 2.2 to the "official" OTA version. :D

That said, I have no intention of installing this until I see if there are any differences. Right now, I'm running a very stable FlyX.

Does anyone know if this updates the kernel to supposedly address all 512mb of RAM? .... though I'm not sure if there was any consensus on whether the earlier leaked version was able to access all of the RAM?

Does this version fix the Force Close issue when clicking on the battery icon?

Does this version have any Market issues where protected apps don't show up?

Need these answers first! :)
